Well, I had to be in La Paz on Sunday evening anyway. I could extend the bike trip a day or two, but it’d be along a busy main road. I was bussing it today all the way to La Paz.
It was an uneventful trip. I now have a week here sorting out damaged passports and bicycle packing, and so I hereby officially close the Chile and Bolivia cycling blog.

A bit anticlimatic end, but hey, sometimes things are just as they are.
I do appreciate reading something real. Many times (me myself first the first one) tend to write with some delay, and rewrite even later, and that makes time filter bad and usually the dull parts get washed off, or not included, because well, everyone looks to the happy pictures on instagram etc. 😉
I did enjoy reading your articles on this area, and I am again considering doing some part of latin america again at some point (been there without the bike). I might just go for north of India before whenever I have the chance, since I did cycle the south for some months a couple of years ago, and really enjoyed it.

Yes. The end was a bit sudden and anticlimactic. My week in La Paz was relaxing and I’m now back home in Sydney.
